How Much Does Email Verification Cost? Pricing Compared (2026)
Email verification is priced in two ways: per address, as credits you buy in packs or receive monthly, or as a flat subscription that does not count addresses. Which one is cheaper depends entirely on how many addresses you verify and how often. This post lays out the published prices of six services at the volumes people actually clean, so you can do the sum for your own list.
All competitor prices below were read from each vendor's own pricing page on October 28, 2026. Vendors change prices; check their site before you buy. Where a vendor does not publish a figure, we say so rather than estimate.
The two pricing models
Per-address credits
You pay for each address checked. Packs get cheaper per address as they get bigger, and most vendors do not charge for unknown results or duplicates. Credits either never expire or reset monthly, which matters a lot: monthly credits you do not use are money lost.
Flat subscription
You pay a fixed amount per month and verify as much as the plan allows, usually with a cap per list rather than per month. The price is the same in a quiet month and a busy one.

What 10,000 a month costs
Ten thousand addresses a month is a common volume for a small marketing team or a cold outreach operation. At that volume:
- InboxSure Pro: $49.
- Bouncer: $60 for a 10,000 pack.
- Emailable: up to $76 at the published 5,000-pack rate, less with a bigger pack or the 15% subscription discount.
- ZeroBounce: the ZeroBounce ONE subscription starts at $99 for a minimum of 10,000 credits.
- Hunter: 10,000 verifications use 5,000 credits, which needs the Growth plan at $149.
What 100,000 a month costs
At ten times the volume the models diverge. Credit prices fall per address but the total still scales:
- InboxSure Pro: $49, in ten lists of 10,000.
- Bouncer: $400 for a 100,000 pack.
- ZeroBounce: around $0.0065 per credit at this volume according to their FAQ, so roughly $650 pay as you go.
- Hunter: 50,000 credits a month, above the Scale plan's 25,000; a custom Enterprise plan.
- Emailable and Clearout: not published at this volume.
When credits are the better deal
Flat pricing is not always cheaper. If you verify one list of 2,000 addresses twice a year, Bouncer's $8 pack of 1,000 credits that never expire costs $32 a year against $98 for two months of InboxSure Pro. The break-even for most credit vendors against a $49 flat plan is somewhere between 5,000 and 10,000 addresses a month, every month.
Credits also win when:
- You need an API today and verify as part of a signup flow rather than in batches.
- You verify one very large file, over 100,000 addresses, once.
- Your volume is unpredictable and mostly low.
When flat pricing is the better deal
- You clean lists every month, at 5,000 addresses or more.
- Your volume varies from month to month and you do not want to size packs.
- You want a cost you can put in a budget without a calculator.
Things the price table does not show
- Unknown results. Most credit vendors do not charge for them, but check. On a flat plan the question does not arise.
- Credit expiry. Bouncer, Emailable and Clearout say purchased credits never expire. Hunter's monthly credits reset and do not roll over. ZeroBounce's rules depend on whether you have a subscription.
- Catch-all handling. Some vendors sell an extra step that tries to resolve catch-all addresses, at extra cost. Whether that is worth paying for is covered in is it safe to send to catch-all emails.
- Bundled products. Hunter and Clearout bundle email finding; ZeroBounce bundles deliverability tools. If you want those, the comparison is not just verification price.
Side-by-side comparisons
We have written a full, sourced comparison for each of the credit-based services above: ZeroBounce, Emailable, Bouncer, Hunter and Clearout. Each one says where the other service is the better choice, because for some volumes it is.
For InboxSure's own plans, see the pricing page. The free plan lets you run lists of up to 50 addresses as often as you like, which is enough to test the accuracy on your own data before paying anyone.
